We are seeking a Contract Manager specialising in civils to join our team in Burntwood. This is a full-time role where the Contract Manager will oversee project execution and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of impactful projects aligned to the Crown Highways values: Safety, Quality, Community, Collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Scheme management and resource planning.
  • Plan and programme work.
  • Manage interfaces with traffic management contractors and the client to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Manage appointed sub-contractors.
  • Support the Commercial Manager when pricing and invoicing works.
  • Develop safe systems of work: compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements associated with the works.
  • Undertake site safety visits, inspections and deliver inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Capture scheme quality and performance management system data.
  • Ensure that ITPs are completed for each scheme inclusive of photographs and client signatures.
  • Manage team performance, complete appraisals, and undertake disciplinary meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience of managing teams or undertaking a supporting role to plan and deliver schemes.
  • SMSTSL6 NVQ Construction Site Management.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Death in Service: 2x annual salary.
