We are seeking a 6‑session salaried GP to join a central Basingstoke practice that supports nearly 28,000 patients. The practice employs 8 GP partners, 7 salaried GPs, and a multidisciplinary team of nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, mental health staff, and a paramedic & ANP.
Main Duties
- 15‑minute appointments
- High QOF/IIF achievers
- BMA safe working sessions
- Home visits taken by One Team & Paramedic, significantly reducing urgent visit demand
- Extended hours access provided in-house
- 7 weeks annual leave and one week study leave pro rata (including bank holidays)
- GP will be list holding (250 patients per session)
- Stable workforce of 8 partners and 7 salaried GPs, 1 paramedic & ANP, MSK physios, clinical pharmacists, mental health team, practice nurses and healthcare assistants, plus supportive reception staff
- In‑house education programme and mentorship, including clinical, significant event and CQC meetings throughout the year
- Training practice with ST2/3 registrars and medical students
- Working on obtaining research practice status
- Current list size of 27,791 patients
- Branch site located 7 minutes drive away
- All rooms equipped with dual screens
- We use EMIS Web, Docman and ICE
- Member practice of the Mosaic PCN
- CQC Rated Good (July 2024)
- Daily coffee and tea breaks where all are welcomed
Experience
- Experience working in large multi‑disciplinary teams with a wide range of Allied Health Professionals
- Experience in General Practice in a similar role (ST placement, salaried role previously, GP partner, etc.)
Qualifications
- Degree in Medicine recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Foundation course of general training
- General Practice specialist training
- Registration on the GMC register
- Specialised GP training in additional fields (Mental Health, Diabetes, Respiratory, etc.)
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check
