The Role Holder will assume full responsibility & accountability for the successful delivery of projects that have been allocated to their respective department across Ireland, Europe and the UK. The role will involve the management of their department and construction team, assisting with sourcing of suitable project leads, business development, assisting with the tendering process, ensuring successful delivery across all projects and maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Work effectively as part of the senior management team and take a ‘whole company’ perspective to managing issues.
- Attend Managerial meetings and present reports on their respective department.
- Effectively manage the department & team to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled, revenue generation and profitability are maximised and continually seeking to add value to the business.
- Actively seek to meet and develop relationships with the relevant stakeholders, influencers and decision makers involved in such projects.
- In collaboration with the Commercial Department, actively seek to engage with clients and project stakeholders at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Ensure potential commercial risks are identified at the earliest possible stage and are reported back to the Board.
Project Planning
- In conjunction with the Project Planner, ensure a detailed project programme is completed for each secured project, identifying the critical path and key project dates.
- Ensure robust resourcing plans are implemented across projects including production of labour histograms, strategies for sourcing skilled labour for European Projects.
- Formulate a plan with regard to project logistics including accommodation, flights, transport, work permits, local H&S training & certification requirements etc.
- Visit locations for each new project and identify suitable suppliers as required by the project and familiarise yourself thoroughly with each new project location.
Project Execution
- Oversee and/or prepare project specific safety documentation including method statements and risk assessments as well as a QA plan with inspection regimes.
- Oversee the design process and ensure design is compliant with specification and in line with items included in the BOQ.
- Safeguard the Company’s position by ensuring relevant site events are recorded and reported in writing to the Main Contractor quickly and contractually.
- Ensure to interface with clients at each project location to ensure senior personnel visibility on sites.

- A construction related college degree or equivalent; construction science or engineering degree preferred.
- At least 15 years’ experience of working in a senior management position, preferably in the building envelopes or roofing & cladding sectors.
- Knowledge in roofing, cladding and facade construction methods and practices, including safety codes and requirements.
- Have a proven track record of seeing projects through to their successful completion.
- Budget management experience and demonstrable attention to detail.
- Able to demonstrate financial, commercial, and business development acumen.
- Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills.
- Must have a proven track record of managing and delivering on medium to large scale projects.
- Excellent people management & interpersonal skills.
- Must have a high level of computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Strong customer focus skills, with the ability to build relationships and networks with strategic stakeholders.
- Impeccable organisational skills.

- Current drivers’ licence.
