Crown Estate Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate/s for this new role within the organisation will be responsible for:

  • Leading organisational change associated with process and data improvements, including stakeholder engagement, behavioural change, and adoption of new ways of working.
  • Driving measurable improvements in efficiency, data quality, and consistency through sustained adoption of new/improved processes across the organisation.
  • Establishing proportionate process documentation to support governance, consistency and continuous improvement including process documentation & templates and a repository of processes documentation.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of implemented changes.
  • Identifying and documenting existing formal and informal business processes, procedures and other activities to support adoption, governance and continuous improvement.
  • Analysing and prioritising opportunities to improve business efficiency and data accuracy/completeness to support effective adoption across the organisation.
  • Designing and leading the deployment of improvements/replacements to business processes including appropriate levels of governance to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Creating Business cases where necessary for changes to gather appropriate level of support for proposed changes.
  • Collaborating on the development and deployment of any automations to support the new processes being embedded across teams and support adoption of new ways of working.
  • Managing stakeholders from initial requirements gathering to training on updated processes.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations at all levels to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

The contractual working location of this role is our Edinburgh office. However, we believe work is something you do, not a place you go to, and we are committed to supporting employees to work flexibly and in a way that suits their role and preferences.

The starting salary will be £50,521 with potential for future progression as well as eligibility of annual cost of living rises. The maximum salary for this role is currently £58,653. The role also benefits from 25 days' annual leave, increasing to 30 days after four years' service, plus 11.5 of public/privilege days. Crown Estate Scotland encourage flexible working and operate a discretionary flexi-time scheme. This role offers participation in the Civil Service pension scheme.

You should have:

  • A relevant degree and experience in areas which may include but are not limited to; Business, IT, Property Management, other disciplines aligned to CES operational areas.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools.
  • High degree of IT & Data literacy.
  • The ability to lead and embed change in practice.
  • The ability to lead and embed business process and data.

  • Able to collaborate effectively across the organisation.
