In this role you will service and repair customer-site equipment, ensuring safety and quality while maintaining thorough documentation. You’ll follow planned maintenance schedules and monitor stock to support fleet reliability. You’ll inspect trucks for safety and complete essential paperwork and tooling management. You will work both on-site and occasionally off-site, collaborating with the broader service team to uphold Crown’s customer-centric standards. This is an opportunity to apply hands-on engineering skills within a market-leading materials handling company, contributing to dependable uptime for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site service and repairs of equipment to high safety and quality standards
  • Maintain documentation (work orders, timesheets, purchase requisitions) within required timescales
  • Monitor site stock for daily maintenance needs of the fleet
  • Conduct inspections to ensure safety of repaired/maintained trucks
  • Manage equipment and tooling (van, laptop, etc.) to safe condition and availability
  • Adhere to strict planned schedules and deadlines
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure service quality

Key requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proficient in fault finding and repair
  • GCSE in English and Maths (grade C)
  • Experience of Health Safety requirements in a workshop
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
