A Payments Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end development of new products and features for our cross‑border payments and FX solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk & Compliance, and more to prioritize, define, and build a world‑class payments offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new payments capabilities across the end‑to‑end payments offering, including payments processing, digital client servicing, and cross‑currency payments.
- Lead CAB’s payment product client experience, orchestration, transactional FX and cross‑currency payment offering.
- Deliver API enhancements to support new client features.
- Understand and define product priorities and commercial benefits.
- Contribute to CAB product strategy and target state objectives, guiding focus and priorities for transformation initiatives.
- Identify current and future client needs and competitor propositions, defining product requirements for CAB’s end‑to‑end payments product offering.
- Conduct analysis to inform roadmap priorities, driving data‑based decision making and challenging proposals where necessary.
- Drive communication and collaboration between teams.
- Liaise cross‑functionally with operations, technology and risk to ensure payments products are fit for purpose as the bank scales and meet commercial objectives.
- Obtain buy‑in across the bank for proposed changes, leading stakeholders from initiation through testing and rollout.
- Write proposals and detailed specifications, sketch ideas, and clarify product needs alongside solution architects, BAs, and engineers.
- Define payments product requirements.
- Gather requirements from Tech, Sales, Risk and Operations, writing detailed specification documents.
- Ensure end‑to‑end system thinking so the overall payments offering aligns with client and CAB needs.
- Own the product offering, nurturing capabilities, documentation, support and integration with other CAB products such as FX.
- Oversee iterative delivery of new payments capabilities.
- Lead delivery of roadmap items, often by managing engineering teams and vendors.
- Own the full set of detailed requirements, challenging BAs, architects, engineers and testing teams as needed.
- Clarify and validate requirements with product and bank stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery teams develop appropriate documentation.
- Support smooth introduction of new capabilities.
- Act as key stakeholder in all bank processes, securing approvals and overseeing testing, rollout and issue resolution.
- Identify and resolve issues or capture them on the product backlog with appropriate priority.
- Provide upwards management and reporting, highlighting product feature deliveries.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of product management experience writing specifications for complex features and systems.
- Experience in digital payments, ideally cross‑border payments.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Good strategic thinking, commercial acumen and product intuition.
- Experience working with both cutting‑edge and legacy technology systems.
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment and cross‑functionally launching new products and features.
- Ability to analyze quantitative data and use it to inform decision making.
