Payroll Manager

An established company in West London is looking for a highly organised Payroll Manager to join its growing team and take full ownership of a busy payroll function. You’ll work closely with the HR and Finance teams to manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring HMRC compliance and overseeing payroll calculations and reconciliations. This is a permanent opportunity paying up to £60,000, depending on experience.

As the new Payroll Manager, you will:

• Manage the complete payroll function for multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, incentive payments, employee benefits, and pension contributions.
• Be responsible for pension filings and RTI submissions to HMRC.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting data, investigating and resolving discrepancies relating to attendance, pay calculations, employee records, and statutory requirements, while acting as the main contact for payroll-related enquiries.
• Ensure payroll activities comply with current legislation, tax regulations, company policies, and reporting obligations, including liaising with government authorities and supporting regulatory submissions.
• Produce payroll documentation, statutory year-end forms, management reports, and reconciliation schedules, while assisting with both internal and external audit requirements.
• Administer employee benefit programmes, including pension processing and private healthcare arrangements, ensuring accurate reconciliation with payroll and maintaining up-to-date records.

To be successful as the new Payroll Manager, you should have:

• At least 4–5 years of payroll experience.
• Experience using payroll systems such as Workday Payroll and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of HMRC deductions, pay calculations, and payroll compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
