Leading international company in Central London are recruiting a Head of Credit Control to join the finance team on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to lead the Credit Control team and AR function across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate may be working as a Credit Control Manager or Accounts Receivable Manager (or Assistant Manager), looking for their next move and a new challenge in a dynamic company. The successful person will have the opportunity to lead and develop the function, managing a team of 3, along with client billing, collections, cash allocation and aged debt across a complex multi-entity environment across the UK and Europe.

There is a two-stage, fast-moving hiring process, initially a Teams meeting followed by a face-to-face interview in the office. This is an immediate start role, however the client can be flexible with any suitable applicants currently on a notice period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function
  • Overseeing cash collection, billing processes, cash allocation and dispute resolution activities
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the Credit Control team
  • Monitoring and reporting on DSO, aged debt and overall AR performance
  • Overseeing cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation
  • Driving process improvements across the Order-to-Cash cycle
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, reconciliations and ledger integrity
  • Producing detailed reporting and analysis on collections and AR performance
  • Managing credit risk assessments, limits and exposure monitoring
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
  • Using NetSuite to improve reporting, controls and operational efficiency

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or OTC
  • Previous experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Strong understanding of transactional finance and AR accounting processes
  • Commercially aware with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using NetSuite, Concur or Coupa is ideal
