Coffee Shop Barista / Supervisor – Early Morning Shift
Crow & Co, a newly opened independent coffee shop at Stoke Mandeville Railway Station, is seeking an experienced Barista / Coffee Shop Supervisor to manage daily operations and support our growing business.
We are looking for an honest, reliable, hardworking and customer-focused individual with excellent barista skills, strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quality coffee, serving customers, managing stock, handling payments, maintaining food hygiene and safety compliance, and overseeing the smooth daily running of the coffee shop.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am–1:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am–12:00pm. Early morning availability is essential.
We offer PAYE employment or a genuinely self-employed arrangement where appropriate, with potential performance-related incentives, profit-sharing opportunities and career progression as we expand into additional locations.
Previous barista experience is essential. Applicants must be punctual, professional, trustworthy .
Skills and Experience Required- Previous barista experience is essential, preferably within a busy coffee shop or hospitality environment.- Excellent coffee-making skills, including preparing espresso, latte, cappuccino, flat white and other speciality drinks.- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, polite and professional approach.- Ability to independently manage the daily operation of a coffee shop.- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.- Honest, trustworthy, hardworking, reliable and punctual.- Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness, HACCP and health and safety procedures.- Experience managing stock, ordering supplies, stock rotation and minimising waste.- Confident operating EPOS systems, handling cash and processing card payments.- Ability to manage online orders and click-and-collect services.- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and presentation.- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy morning commuter periods.- Good problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative without constant supervision.- Experience supervising staff and maintaining operational standards is desirable.- Basic understanding of sales targets, cost control and business profitability.- Must be available for early morning shifts starting at 6:00am, Monday to Friday, and Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm.- Driving licence and access to reliable transport preferred due to early morning starts.We are particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate ownership, accountability, excellent work ethics and a genuine passion for helping Crow & Co grow into a successful multi-location coffee shop business.
