Purpose of the roleTo lead the development of the firms data and AI capabilities ensuring data-driven decision-making, AI adoption and scalable innovation. This role will shape the advanced analytics, machine learning and automation into the core business functions – enhancing performance, uncover new opportunities and fostering a culture of data literacy and trust across the enterprise.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Strategic LeadershipDevelop roadmap for good data architecture, analytics and responsible AI adoptionAssist in translating business goals into actionable data and AI initiativesGovernance and ComplianceCreate data governance frameworks and policiesEnsure AI projects comply with regulatory standards, ethical standards and risk controls in accordance with the firms policiesInnovation and DeliveryWork with various data teams to provide consistent data deliveryDrive the adoption of AI powered data tools to improve efficiency across the firms service linesInnovate data visualisation through interactive dashboards and data metrics that is user specificData Ecosystem ManagementArchitect and optimise data platforms, including on-prem, hybrid and cloud environmentsChampion data quality, integration and security across all systemsStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with Technology senior leadership, Ops board, product owners and subject matter experts to identify opportunitiesTeam LeadershipGrow and mentor a high performing data and AI function with diverse specialismsFoster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation and data literacy across the firmTechnical skills, experience & knowledgeProven experience in senior data leadership roleAbility to translate business needs into technical solutions and bridge the business/IT worldsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsTechnical data and AI knowledge/experience in sharing and delivering data productsStrong strategic thinking and problem solving skillsExpertise in data governance, data quality and data protection regulationsProficiency in data analytics tools, technologies and capabilitiesExcellent leadership and team management skillsHaving professional practice experience desiredRequired Skills & QualificationsSkilled in Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, API, MLOps, data engineeringExperience with data lakes, warehouses and supporting tools in cloud technology like Azure, AWSUnderstanding of Devops & CI/CDUnderstanding of GDPR and data protection regulationsUnderstanding of data analytics platforms like AlteryxAbility to use PowerBi and other visualisation toolAbout CroweCrowe is a leading national audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm with global reach and local expertise.
