We are looking for a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of private clients, support partners and senior managers on complex advisory work, and contribute to the continued growth of the tax function.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and reviewing a portfolio of private client tax returns and advisory matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
- Supporting senior managers and partners on complex advisory projects for high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and estates.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive technical feedback to support their development.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries.
- Contributing to business development activity, including preparation of proposals and attendance at networking events.
Requirements
- Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment.
- CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or working towards), with a focus on private client or personal tax.
- Strong technical knowledge across personal tax compliance and advisory, including experience with complex or high-net-worth client portfolios.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the drive to develop both technically and professionally.
