We are looking for an ambitious Audit Manager with a passion for the social purpose sector to join our awardâwinning team and develop a specialism in Social Housing. You will be joining the leading firm of auditors to the charitable sector and will have the option to be based in London, the Midlands or Manchester, with flexible or partâtime arrangements possible.
This role involves working with a variety of social purpose organisationsâincluding charities, social housing providers, INGOs, grant makers, schools, academies, membership organisations and professional bodiesâfrom startâups to wellâestablished, prestigious clients in the sector.
Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of external audit clients to deliver a yearâround service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Managing audit teams to ensure planned work is completed within budget and timescales, from planning through to completion.
- Acting as the principal contact for clients throughout the year, delivering a proactive service.
- Working to tight deadlines, taking responsibility for your own work and multitasking in an organised manner. Timeâplanning client appointments is essential.
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management and Audit Committees/Boards.
- Directing, coaching and mentoring audit teams to support their engagement delivery.
- Engaging in business development activities, maintaining and monitoring your own network.
- Participating in proposals and presentations for new work.
- Possibility of involvement in wider assurance services to clients.
- Participating in team and firmâwide activities and training opportunities.
- Qualified ACA, ICAS, ACCA or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
- Strong peopleâmanagement skills to support, coach and mentor junior colleagues.
- Knowledge and experience of audits in the nonâprofit sector.
