We seek a Senior Engineer to join the GDI (Getting Data In) group under NG-SIEM, focusing on data onboarding and third-party data ingestion at petabyte scale across regions and 100+ data sources.
Data Onboarding is a critical first step for a customer’s NG-SIEM journey; data volume enables effective threat detection and hunting. Our platform will scale to include all first- and third-party data sources and support unlimited data ingestion with no limits. The role involves building a frictionless onboarding experience across hundreds of data sources and leveraging AI to develop autonomous agents that facilitate onboarding.
You will lead cross-team initiatives with other data platforms and product teams at CrowdStrike. This role is open to candidates located in Denmark, Ireland and the United Kingdom only.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Join the NG-SIEM Data Onboarding Team to develop a frictionless onboarding experience for data sources.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including UI, UX, and Data Scientists.
- Solve hard problems in distributed systems focusing on high availability, reliability, performance and cost optimization.
- Develop systems in Go and Scala.
- Support globally available, multi-region production systems.
- Lead and participate in cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
- Participate in the on-call rota within the team (approximately once a month).
What You’ll Need (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining multiple software products/systems in a SaaS delivery model.
- Demonstrated technical leadership across features that span multiple disciplines.
- Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably Scala or Go. Other languages such as Python, Java, .NET may be considered.
- Strong collaboration, ownership mindset, and willingness to take on responsibilities.
- Experience delivering across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with transactional databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS SQS, or other streaming technologies.
Bonus Points
- Experience in large-scale distributed system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization.
- Interest or experience in agentic-AI projects.
- Experience with commercial clouds (GCP, AWS or Azure).
- Prior experience in cybersecurity.
