About the Role:

As the Executive Strategist, UK Public Sector, you will advise current and future government customers and deliver thought leadership while supporting the growth of CrowdStrike's strategic partnerships across UK government. You will be joining a team dedicated to making a difference in national security by protecting critical government infrastructure and services against the most advanced nation-state and criminal adversaries in the world.

The CrowdStrike Executive Strategist Team provides executive liaison support, engaging current and potential government clients externally, while interacting internally with teams across the company including Sales, Product, Marketing, Government Affairs, Legal and more. This role is specifically focused on the UK public sector, including central government departments, devolved administrations, defence and intelligence communities, NHS, policing, and local government.

As CrowdStrike's Executive Strategist for UK Public Sector, you will be responsible for sharing the company's capabilities, strategic vision and cybersecurity strategy, working closely with the UK Public Sector sales team, Government Affairs, marketing, the CTO's Office, and Product Managers on a regular basis. You will also work closely with CrowdStrike's policy, legal and corporate affairs, and public relations teams to position CrowdStrike as a strategic partner to UK government.

This role reports to the Director, UK Public Sector, with a dotted line to the VP of the Executive Strategists Team. With your extensive UK public sector cybersecurity background and your ability to think and operate at a strategic level, you will drive public sector vision and strategy while providing support on strategic industry events and speaking engagements across the United Kingdom.

This position requires UK citizenship and is based in the United Kingdom, with eligibility for Security Clearance as required.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as an advisor to UK public sector CISOs and security leaders, providing practitioner-level guidance on strategic planning initiatives, the current threat landscape, and proactive initiatives to stay ahead of adversaries.
  • Establish and maintain active relationships with key customers and decision-makers across UK central government departments.
  • Conduct executive briefings with current and prospective government clients, providing independent, non-commercial cybersecurity modernisation guidance and strategic advisory.
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer engagement between UK public sector security leaders, creating forums for knowledge sharing and best practice exchange.
  • Support strategic partnership development with key government bodies aligned to the Government Cyber Action Plan.
  • Speak at national and regional industry events, including CyberUK, government cyber forums, defence and security conferences, and public sector technology events.
  • Host customer roundtables and advisory sessions, sharing industry strategies, threat intelligence, and facilitating feedback opportunities for product enhancements relevant to UK government requirements.
  • Produce high-quality written content including blog posts, articles, white papers, and government consultation responses that establish CrowdStrike as a thought leader in UK public sector cybersecurity.
  • Represent CrowdStrike at parliamentary cyber security groups, industry working groups, and public-private partnership forums.
  • Deliver threat landscape briefings specific to UK government threats, including nation-state activity, ransomware targeting public services, and supply chain risks.
  • Advise the company and sales teams on the most effective approaches to UK public sector engagement, procurement frameworks, and security assurance requirements.
  • Coach, train and mentor UK Public Sector sales teams, sales engineers, and partners on public sector CISO priorities, government procurement processes, and effective engagement strategies.
  • Develop strategic engagement plans with sales teams for major government opportunities, providing practitioner insight on stakeholder mapping, technical validation approaches, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with Government Affairs to understand policy-level relationships.
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate UK government requirements (data sovereignty, supply chain security, certification needs) into product roadmap priorities.
  • Support CrowdStrike's strategic partnerships with NCSC, contributing practitioner expertise to joint initiatives, threat intelligence sharing, and industry collaboration programs.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the UK cybersecurity landscape, including government cyber strategy, regulatory developments (NIS2, DORA, Cyber Security and Resilience Bill), competitive positioning, and emerging threats to public sector.
  • Provide market intelligence on UK public sector priorities, budget cycles, procurement trends, and competitor activity to inform CrowdStrike's UK strategy.
  • Support the Executive Briefing Program for UK government customers, either virtually or at CrowdStrike facilities.

What You'll Need:

  • Extensive track record in cybersecurity, with experience of senior leadership roles in UK public sector organisations.
  • Deep understanding of UK government cyber security requirements, including NCSC guidance, Government Security Classifications, protective monitoring, and security assurance frameworks.
  • Broad information security competency across strategy, governance, risk management, architecture, and operations.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
  • Deep technical knowledge of modern cybersecurity technologies including endpoint security, XDR/EDR, cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM/log management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
  • Experience with security transformation programs, including Zero Trust architecture, cloud migration security, legacy estate modernisation, and security operating model design.
  • Understanding of threat landscape relevant to UK government, including nation-state actors (Russia, China, Iran, North Korea), ransomware groups, and insider threats.
  • Established network within UK public sector CISO and security leadership community, with ability to activate peer relationships and references.
  • Deep understanding of UK government procurement frameworks and security assurance processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to articulate complex security concepts to diverse audiences from technical practitioners to ministerial-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate with high independence, leading cross-functional efforts and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Genuine commitment to protecting UK national security and public services.

Working Arrangements:

  • Location: UK-based, London preferred (hybrid working available).
  • Travel: Regular travel within UK required (approximately 30-40%), including to customer sites, government facilities, and industry events.
  • Flexibility: Role requires flexibility to attend government meetings, industry events, and customer engagements as needed.
