Crowd Strike is seeking a Software Developer in Test for our Cloud Detections Platform team, tasked with building the next‑generation detection platform.

The role focuses on developing and operating the team’s CI/CD pipeline, ensuring solutions work and raising alarms when they don’t, and building an end‑to‑end validation pipeline from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate the team’s CI/CD pipeline, ensuring solutions work and raising alarms when they don’t.
  • Build the end‑to‑end validation pipeline, leveraging existing frameworks and tooling where possible.
  • Verify component, system integration and application level features to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance meet the organization’s quality standards.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, providing technical guidance and feedback.
  • Review engineering technical design documents and requirements.
  • Provide guidance and strategy on building testability into designs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of end‑to‑end test and validation processes.
  • Increase and improve automated test coverage; contribute to existing tools, frameworks, and solutions.
  • Leverage new open source solutions to build innovative testing tools.
  • Improve delivered product quality across the entire platform and applications.
  • Collaborate on root cause analysis of production outages and implement quality improvements to prevent future outages.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer (combined).
  • 4–5+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud Saa S product.
  • Strong debugging skills: ability to spot design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks in complex architectures.
  • Computer science background or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building, validating, and/or maintaining large distributed systems at scale.
  • Solid design and problem‑solving skills with a passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance.
  • Strong cross‑group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elastic Search, and/or similar technologies (at least one).
  • Sense of humor and humility.
  • Bonus: Prior experience building, operating, validating, and scaling low‑latency internet services.
  • Bonus: Experience shipping cloud‑connected endpoint software.
  • Bonus: Solid grounding in at least one cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Bonus: Exposure to cybersecurity and intelligence.
