About the Role:
We are developing the next-generation UI for CrowdStrike\’s platform, called Kestrel. This includes new UI and backend features to help customers \’Stop the Breach\’ by unifying data across security domains, streamlining access to critical security information, and enabling personalized user experiences by role. You will play a key role in innovating, building, and maintaining essential backend features for the Kestrel platform.
Additionally, we maintain existing services written in Node.js that manage dynamic content and localization within our console, bridging our Cloud (Go Lang) services with front-end UI applications.
Bring your experience with distributed technologies, strong API and systems design skills, and a passion for high-performance code. You will collaborate with multiple backend teams, core service teams, and UI + backend feature teams to bring these features to life.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale services.
- Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
- Triage system issues and debug by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on service operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve architecture, testing coverage, user experience, performance, observability, and stability.
- Partner with product teams to understand needs, document requirements, and implement new features.

- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, or distributed systems.
- Experience in scaling backend systems, including sharding, partitioning, and horizontal scaling.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
- Team collaboration skills and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative environment.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality, well-tested software.
