We are seeking a motivated final‑year student or fresh graduate to support the planning and delivery of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, solar carports, EV charging, and associated site works across the Northeast and beyond. The role would best suit someone studying, or recently qualified, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Building Services, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will support project planning, site coordination, logistics, pricing, and documentation, working closely with and reporting to the Delivery Director.
Job Description
- Support the planning and coordination of live construction and renewable energy projects
- Assist with project programmes, timelines, action logs, and progress updates
- Review project information to identify basic buildability, access, logistics, and site coordination requirements
- Support site preparation, including mobilisation plans, deliveries, access arrangements, welfare, and subcontractor coordination
- Assist with reviewing site information and project documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, internal teams, and site operatives to support smooth project delivery
- Support pricing activities by collecting quotes, comparing supplier costs, and helping prepare basic cost information
- Track materials, delivery dates, long‑lead items, and procurement requirements
- Attend site visits and project meetings where required and prepare meeting notes, project trackers, reports, and follow‑up actions
- Help maintain project records, including RAMS, handover documents, progress photos, site updates, and client information
- Identify and escalate project risks, delays, missing information, or cost concerns
- Support the Delivery Director, and wider team with day‑to‑day project administration and coordination
Requirements
- Degree, HNC, HND, diploma, or certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Services, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Final‑year student or recent graduate
- Basic understanding of construction processes and site coordination or placement experience would be an advantage
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work with different teams
- Practical, proactive, and able to follow through on actions
- Understanding of construction programmes or project trackers
- Basic knowledge of site documentation, health and safety requirements and RAMs
- Experience using project management or construction software
- Full UK driving licence or willingness to travel to project sites when required
