About The Role:

A recognised, boutique art and prop designer known for their innovative projects across theatre, leisure and design is looking for a diligent and efficient Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their friendly and creative team.

This role involves accounts payable duties where you will be responsible for reviewing and paying expenses to large numbers, reviewing credit card transactions, processing freelance timesheets and inputting data on the CRM to track budgets. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of bookkeeping, be highly competent working within a small finance team and would want to progress and grow within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices/credit notes and ensuring supplier accounts are reconciled and agreed
  • Coding and processing company expenses
  • Review credit card transactions
  • Process freelance timesheets, ensuring accurate coding
  • Produce financial reports for the Finance manager to use to aid decision making
  • Assisting with implementing new financial processes and procedures
  • Other ad-hoc finance duties

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience within a purchase ledger role
  • MS proficiency in particular Excel
  • Sage proficiency is beneficial
  • Strong time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Sage or similar CRM systems
