Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. is looking to recruit a Production & Service Operative to contribute to delivering company growth goals. This is a local role reporting to the Team Leader.

What will you be doing?

As a member of the Production Team, you will start by learning how to build our products within the production team before having a chance to move to a servicing team. Each product will be learnt separately. It takes about 1-2 weeks to learn to build one product. Learning how to service one product can take 1 month or more (depending on complexity). You may also get to spend some time in our Calibration Laboratory.

The team is made up as follows:

  • Head of Production
  • Manufacturing Engineering Team
  • Portables Products Team
  • Fixed Products & Calibration Team
  • Service, Repairs & Warranty Team
  • Engineered Fixed Systems Team

If Working In Manufacturing Team:

  • Own assembling, testing and packing a variety of life-saving gas detection equipment.
  • Have accountability for ensuring quality and performance targets.
  • Continuously look for innovation/improvement opportunities.
  • Sustain a learning mindset towards soldering, calibrating, processes and working instructions.

If Working In Servicing Team:

  • Own inspecting, fault-finding, repairing, servicing and cleaning of returned faulty gas detection instruments (warranty and non-warranty).
  • Deliver testing, programming, calibrating of instruments and soldering of small electronic parts.
  • Have accountability for ensuring adequate stock levels of spare parts, writing reports and providing accurate quotation for customers using ERP system (NAV - training will be provided) and completing some administration tasks.
  • Continuously look for innovation/improvement opportunities.
  • Sustain a customer-centric mindset.

  • You have good dexterity and attention to detail.
  • You can handle multiple tasks and responsibilities at the same time.
  • You have a good team spirit and demonstration of company's values.
  • You have experience with MS Office or PC applications (required only for Service work).
