An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our professional Technical Team based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

What you’ll be doing:

• Reporting to the Technical Manager, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and issue detailed house type designs in line with the agreed programme.
• These designs must meet the Company’s standards as well as all relevant regulatory and technical requirements.
• You will work closely with site, attending when required, to oversee projects and ensure compliance with technical designs.
• You will also be required to coordinate external consultants such as Ecologists, Architects, Landscape Architects and Structural Engineers.

Skills & knowledge you’ll bring:

• Hold an Architectural Technology Degree, or equivalent in working experience.
• Experience within the role of a Senior Architectural Technologist, with a consultancy background or a housebuilder with in-house design.
• Ideally, CIAT chartered, but studies can be fully supported toward this.
• Excellent IT skills including packages such as Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce detailed working drawings and complex construction details.
• Experience in coordinating and checking third party manufacturers drawings.
• Knowledge of current building regulations and NHBC requirements.
• Able to coordinate external consultants and utility providers.
• Mentor junior team members.
