An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our professional Technical Team based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reporting to the Technical Manager, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and issue detailed house type designs in line with the agreed programme.
- These designs must meet the Company’s standards as well as all relevant regulatory and technical requirements.
- You will work closely with site, attending when required, to oversee projects and ensure compliance with technical designs.
- You will also be required to coordinate external consultants such as Ecologists, Architects, Landscape Architects and Structural Engineers.
Skills & knowledge you’ll bring:
- Hold an Architectural Technology Degree, or equivalent in working experience.
- Experience within the role of a Senior Architectural Technologist, with a consultancy background or a housebuilder with in-house design.
- Ideally, CIAT chartered, but studies can be fully supported toward this.
- Excellent IT skills including packages such as Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD.
- Ability to produce detailed working drawings and complex construction details.
- Experience in coordinating and checking third party manufacturers drawings.
- Knowledge of current building regulations and NHBC requirements.
- Able to coordinate external consultants and utility providers.
- Mentor junior team members.
