The Senior Engineer role at Croudace lies within the Technical Department which provides engineering service to other departments across the business. As part of this service, the Engineers at Croudace not only manage external engineering consultants but also produce the drainage, highway and foundation designs in-house. The Senior Engineers take responsibility for the delivery of the overall design information. Additionally, they will assess or produce civil engineering strategies during the land viability and planning process.
The Senior Engineers role can also include obtaining relevant approvals including S278, S38, S104, S106, Building Regulations and planning conditions, before issuing the design packages to the Croudace Building Department for construction. During the construction phase, the Senior Engineers will regularly visit site, supporting the Building Department by answering technical queries during construction.
The Senior Engineers support junior members of the Technical Dept, lead the introduction of new standards and keep abreast of changes in the industry. The Senior Engineers will be encouraged to achieve their chartership status (if not already held) through Croudace’s funded ICE accredited training scheme and they will then have the opportunity to mentor others through the process.
With Land, Design, Technical, Build and Sales teams all in-house, there are many opportunities to collaborate with, learn from and to gain well-rounded knowledge of the full development process. It is through such collaboration that Croudace will continue to deliver high-quality homes and communities.
About You:
- BEng/MEng degree in Civil Engineering or alternatively you will have considerable career experience.
- Extensive civil engineering design experience working for a housebuilder, consultant or Local Authority.
- IEng/CEng ICE chartership status or a desire to obtain chartership whilst working at Croudace.
- Previous experience with civil engineering software packages such as AutoCAD, PDS, FLOW (or similar).
