An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our professional Technical Team based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
What you’ll be doing
- Reporting to the Technical Manager, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and issue detailed house‑type designs in line with the agreed programme.
- These designs must meet the Company’s standards and all relevant regulatory and technical requirements.
- You will work closely with site teams, attending when required, to oversee projects and ensure compliance with technical designs.
- You must also coordinate external consultants such as ecologists, architects, landscape architects, and structural engineers.
Skills & knowledge you’ll bring
- Hold an Architectural Technology Degree, or equivalent in working experience.
- Experience within the role of a Senior Architectural Technologist, preferably with a consultancy background or a housebuilder with in‑house design.
- Ideally CIAT chartered; studies can be fully supported toward this.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD.
- Ability to produce detailed working drawings and complex construction details.
- Experience coordinating and checking third‑party manufacturers’ drawings.
- Knowledge of current building regulations and NHBC requirements.
- Ability to coordinate external consultants and utility providers.
- Mentor junior team members.
