An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our professional Technical Team based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Technical Manager, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and issue detailed houseâtype designs in line with the agreed programme. These designs must meet the Company's standards and all relevant regulatory and technical requirements. You will work closely with site teams, attending when required, to oversee projects and ensure compliance with technical designs. You must also coordinate external consultants such as ecologists, architects, landscape architects, and structural engineers.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring
- Hold an Architectural Technology Degree, or equivalent in working experience.
- Experience within the role of a Senior Architectural Technologist, preferably with a consultancy background or a housebuilder with inâhouse design.
- Ideally CIAT chartered; studies can be fully supported toward this.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD.
- Ability to produce detailed working drawings and complex construction details.
- Experience coordinating and checking thirdâparty manufacturers' drawings.
- Knowledge of current building regulations and NHBC requirements.
- Ability to coordinate external consultants and utility providers.
- Mentor junior team members.
