Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic New Business Director at Croud. The role reports to the Head of New Business, and as a key member of the sales team, you will shape how the agency performs within the new business market. You will take a leading role in running RFPs and pitches, to accelerate new business growth across the agency. You will own and drive high‐value processes from generation through to conversion, developing bespoke proposals, and forging lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders. Working closely with marketing, channel specialists and senior leadership, you will play a key part in shaping and executing our EMEA new business strategy, identifying growth sectors and driving measurable impact on Croud's new business revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the RFP/pitch process - working with our internal teams to deliver winning pitches for large accounts.
  • Manage opportunities from qualified lead through to pitch, including negotiation and contract close where required.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft compelling proposals and pitches that clearly articulate Croud's value and differentiation.
  • Partner with the marketing and channel teams to ensure cohesive messaging and high‐impact campaigns targeting key verticals.
  • Track industry trends and introduce innovative solutions to strengthen sales conversations and thought leadership.
  • Leverage bespoke case studies, client success stories and thought leadership materials through collaboration with PR and communications teams to share stories of innovation, product launches and data‐led insights, helping position Croud as a trusted partner in the market.
  • Regularly report on pipeline performance, opportunity progression, and market insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and execution of tailored business development strategies and campaigns, including researching and identifying prospective clients that align with broader commercial goals.
  • Build relationships with in‐house marketing teams at advertisers and develop a thorough understanding of clients' business issues and how Croud can solve them.
  • Own success metrics, constantly working to improve pitch win rate and average deal size.
  • Own a portfolio of relationships with relevant third parties such as intermediaries.
  • Ensure sales materials are effective, up‐to‐date and targeted - with consistent messaging.
  • Understand the true value Croud offers across our product portfolio.
  • Ensure feedback from sales objections is effectively assessed and fed into proposition development.
  • Support the Head of New Business.

Person Specification

  • At least 7+ years of sales and/or digital marketing experience with significant experience in presenting solutions to clients and pitching.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or consultative sales within a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • A storyteller with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively articulate benefits of our services in multiple mediums.
  • Collaborative and inclusive team player who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and enjoys mentoring others.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C‐suite and senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility.
  • A problem solver – able to take client challenges and understand how we can solve them.
  • Effective organisation and time management skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and shape complex opportunities.
  • Results‐oriented with a proactive mindset and a passion for driving growth.
  • An adaptable team player and fast learner able to unify multiple teams behind a single goal.

Standard hours are from 9.00am to 5.30pm, there’s flexibility if agreed in advance with your line managers (it may also be necessary on occasions to work outside of these hours).
