We are seeking an experienced, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Crossways Vets on a full-time or part-time basis. Based at the edge of the South Downs National Park on the south coast of England, a short distance from Brighton and within easy reach of London, Crossways has an excellent reputation for providing the highest-quality personalised care for our clients and their pets. We have a 30-strong team based across 3 sites, allowing for continuous learning opportunities in a variety of interests. Facilities include laser, laparoscopy, ultrasound, dental X-ray, Digital X-ray, in-house laboratory equipment, and full soft-tissue and orthopaedic equipment, as well as stem cell regenerative medicine.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week - although part-time applicants will be considered
  • Full-time entails either 8 am - 4:30 pm or 10:30 am - 6:30 pm shifts Monday - Friday
  • Saturdays 9 am - 12:30 pm on a rota basis

General Responsibilities

  • Theatre
  • Kennel work and inpatient care
  • Nurse consults
  • Lab work including blood and urine testing

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
