The role

We are looking for self-motivated, passionate, and driven individuals to drive successful outcomes at Crosstide through hands-on expertise in best-practice software development.

This role reports to a Lead and carries responsibility for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and contributing to complex technical challenges. You will apply your experience to build scalable, maintainable software, share knowledge with teammates, and help embed best practices across the team.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Software Development

• Providing development consultancy services for Crosstide clients.
• Acting as a Senior Developer within cross-functional engineering teams.
• Contribute to the Crosstide engineering practice, ensuring consultants are aligned with our values, quality and ways of working.
• Supporting & collaborating with client engineering teams to ensure best development practices are followed.

Ensure Successful Service Delivery: Along with the other consultants contribute to the successful delivery of client engagements.

• Helping with the onboarding of Crosstide in engagements.
• Being an excellent ambassador for Crosstide with clients.
• Alerting the Engagement Lead to any potential risks and issues that could impact the engagement

People & Talent Support

• Supporting the talent team with technical interviews.
• Contribute to the continual development of the interview and assessment process for Crosstide employees and consultants, ensuring that we maintain the quality bar.

Capabilities Required

• Must have strong Java / Kotlin experience, with additional experience in other stacks such as, TypeScript, Python, or C# being beneficial.
• Experience in frameworks such as Spring Boot or Micronaut.
• Experience building container and microservices-based applications.
• Experience building applications hosted in AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability and security solutions.
• Experience with methodologies such as TDD, BDD, Pair Programming, Agile and Lean and DevOps.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
