Role Description This is a part-time, remote Registered Nurse role supporting carers and individuals receiving respite services. The Registered Nurse will provide clinical guidance, remote assessments, and care planning to ensure safe, high-quality support in home and community settings. Day-to-day tasks may include conducting telephone or video consultations, reviewing care plans, advising Care Support Workers, and documenting clinical decisions in line with relevant policies and regulations. The role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals, monitoring changes in health status, and escalating concerns appropriately. The Registered Nurse will also contribute to training, safeguarding, and quality improvement initiatives that enhance the experience of carers and the people they care for.
Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse qualification and valid registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
  • Experience in community nursing, home care, primary care, or similar settings, ideally supporting carers or people with long-term conditions or disabilities.
  • Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and documentation skills, with the ability to work safely and autonomously in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with a person-centered approach and commitment to safeguarding and equality.
  • Comfort using digital tools and remote consultation platforms, with good general IT literacy and ability to manage confidential information securely.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, support and advise care workers, and contribute to training and service improvement.
  • Flexibility to work part time hours, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize caseloads and respond to changing needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and social care regulations and best practices; experience within the UK care sector is an advantage.
