Crossroads Care NI is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Young Carers Support Worker to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis (approximately 6β9 hours per month). In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in supporting young carers by enabling them to take a break from their caring roles and enjoy social outings and fun activities.
As a Young Carers Support Worker, your primary focus will be collecting young carers from their homes, transporting them safely to arranged community outings, and ensuring they have an uplifting and secure experience. You will collaborate closely with other support workers and the Young Carers Manager, upholding child protection standards at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing safe transportation to and from social outings.
- Ensuring all activities are engaging, enjoyable, and safe.
- Following child protection guidelines and keeping accurate records.
- Collaborating with colleagues and attending relevant training sessions.
If you hold a full driving licence, have access to a vehicle, and want to make a genuine positive difference in young people's lives, we would love to hear from you.
About this role
As a Young Carers Support Worker, no two outings are quite the same. You will offer vital respite and social connection to young people who carry significant caregiving responsibilities at home.
