As a Team Leader with CrossReach, youâll help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home where children and young people can grow, heal and thrive. Working closely with the Service Leader, youâll play a vital role in shaping a positive, caring environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Your leadership will make a lasting difference in young lives.
What Your Day Could Involve
- Leading, coaching and supporting the team to deliver highâquality, compassionate care
- Providing supervision and contributing to the professional development of colleagues
- Working alongside the Service Leader to ensure the smooth running of the house and maintain high standards of care
- Supporting children and young people through emotionally complex experiences
- Promoting a culture of relational and traumaâinformed practice
- Taking part in care planning, reporting and quality assurance activities
- Participating in the senior onâcall rota to provide outâofâhours support when needed
- Creating a fun, engaging and inclusive daily environment
About You
Youâre confident, compassionate and calm under pressure. You know how to lead by example and bring out the best in others. You understand the importance of relationships, therapeutic care and the power of positive connection.
Youâll hold an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with a willingness to work towards SVQ Level 4. A commitment to both management and selfâdirected learning is essential. Youâll also have experience in a care or education setting, along with previous management experience.
Itâs also helpful if you have experience of working with lookedâafter children, or knowledge of traumaâinformed practice and attachment theory. Qualifications such as degreeâlevel study in Social Work, Education or Psychology, or Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Level 1 (or equivalent), are desirable.
This role involves shift work, including evenings, weekends and occasional sleepovers. Additional payment is made for sleepovers.
We require a Christian faith and the ability to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos as an occupational requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. The post also requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and the necessary vetting checks. Registration with SSSC is required. We check eligibility to work in the UK under the UK Visas and Immigration regulations.
