What Your Day Could Involve
- Working as part of a holistic team to meet the care and educational needs of children and young people
- Acting as a keyworker, developing and implementing individual care plans in line with GIRFEC principles
- Building strong, trusting relationships using the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy)
- Supporting children to develop life skills, build confidence and take part in activities that promote wellbeing
- Leading and mentoring Support Practitioners, contributing to reflection, team development and quality assurance
About You
You’ll be compassionate, reflective and committed to helping children achieve their full potential. You bring warmth, patience and professionalism to everything you do and understand the power of genuine connection.
You’ll hold an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). A full manual driving licence is essential.
You’ll have significant experience in care or education, with a person-centred approach and a willingness to keep learning. It’s an advantage if you have knowledge of Attachment Theory or Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and good communication and IT skills will help you thrive in the role.
You should be comfortable working within and supporting the Christian values and ethos of CrossReach. Membership of the PVG Scheme and compliance with SSSC standards are required.
