Job Description
Do you have the experience, compassion and leadership to make a real difference in children’s lives? Then you might be just who we’re looking for.
Due to an increase in demand for our service, we’re expanding our team. At CrossReach, everyday moments like playing a game, cooking a meal or walking on the beach help build trust and change young lives. The children in our care have faced real challenges. Your role is to lead by example, help them feel safe, supported and ready for the future, and guide colleagues to do the same.
You’ll be based at Carraig View, but this is a multi-site role. Working as part of a dedicated team, you’ll play a key part in shaping care plans, supporting children through daily life and helping colleagues grow in their practice.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead on care planning and keyworker responsibilities
- Support and guide colleagues in therapeutic practice
- Build strong, supportive relationships with children and their families
- Model approaches that focus on the why behind behaviours, not just the what
We’re looking for someone with significant experience in care or education, along with an HNC in Social Care and SVQ Level 3. You’ll also need a full manual driving licence, as outings are part of the role, and a reflective, compassionate approach that inspires others. Ideally you will also have Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Level 1 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.
Even though we’re a large charity, people matter here. Your ideas are valued, your growth is supported, and the children receive care that is personal, not one-size-fits-all.
When you'll be workingYou’ll work a mix of early, late and weekend shifts on a 3-week rolling rota. There will also be the occasional sleepover, for which you’ll receive an additional £58.50 per night.
Ready to lead a team that helps everyday moments change lives? We’d love to hear from you.
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.
Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.
But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
