As a Senior Night Care Worker, you'll play a vital role in ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality care throughout the night. Combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities, you'll help create a calm, reassuring environment where residents feel comfortable, respected and well cared for. While the home may be quieter, your role remains essential in supporting residents' wellbeing and leading colleagues to deliver excellent care.
What you will do:
- Lead night shifts and support colleagues throughout the shift
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents
- Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
- Carry out regular wellbeing and safety checks
- Monitor residents' changing needs and respond appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and complete shift handovers
- Promote a safe, comfortable and supportive environment throughout the night
About you:
You will be an experienced care professional with a genuine commitment to supporting older people to live well. You'll be confident leading shifts, supporting colleagues and making sound decisions when required. Strong communication skills, compassion and a calm approach are essential. You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare and be willing to work towards, or already hold, an SVQ Level 4 qualification. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
