At CrossReach, caring isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. As a Senior Children’s Worker, you’ll play a leading role in creating safe, supportive, and empowering environments for children and young people with disabilities, some of whom may display challenging behaviour.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading by example and supporting the team to deliver high-quality care every day
- Acting as a keyworker, shaping and reviewing care plans that truly make a difference
- Coordinating daily duties, supporting staff, and ensuring everything runs smoothly when the Team Leader isn’t around
- Building strong relationships with families and carers, while helping children access their communities and opportunities for fun, growth, and independence
- Encouraging inclusion and modelling good practice in everything you do
A little about you
You’ll bring experience of working with children and young people, and ideally some knowledge of supporting those with learning disabilities or behaviours that can be challenging. More importantly, you’ll have a genuine passion for helping children to thrive and a caring nature that shines through in everything you do. With a positive, team-focused approach and the confidence to guide others, you’ll be ready to lead by example. If you’re comfortable with basic IT and are committed to working within our Christian ethos, you’ll feel right at home here.
