As a Senior Care Worker, you'll play a key role in ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care while providing guidance and support to colleagues across the team. You'll lead by example, helping to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where residents can thrive.
This role involves shift work, including two out of every three weekends, as part of a rota designed to ensure consistent, high-quality care for our residents.
What you will do
- Deliver high-quality care and support to residents
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the service
- Provide guidance and support to Care Workers
- Contribute to care planning, reviews and risk assessments
- Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
- Promote residents' independence, choice and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and ensure high standards of care are upheld
About you
You will be an experienced care professional with a genuine commitment to supporting older people to live well. You'll be confident leading by example, supporting colleagues and making sound decisions when required. Strong communication skills, compassion and a positive approach are essential.
You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare and be willing to work towards, or already hold, an SVQ Level 4 qualification. This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC.
