Do you want to support children and young people to feel safe, valued and included? As part of our Children and Family Services team, you will help create a nurturing environment where relationships and consistent care promote healing and growth.
What your day could look like
- Supporting emotional, physical and social needs
- Contributing to care plans and assessments
- Encouraging positive relationships and relational health
- Supporting education, hobbies and community activities
- Assisting with household routines
- Helping young people develop life skills
- Accompanying children to appointments and visits
- Working flexibly, including sleepovers
- Working on a three week rolling roster with a mix of early shifts, late shifts and weekends
What you will bring
You will bring experience working and supporting young people – ideally in care or education (desirable, but not essential), reflective practice, strong communication skills, collaborative working and an understanding of trauma and attachment. You will hold a full manual driving licence and be willing to register with the SSSC or work towards the necessary qualifications. We would also consider candidates with no formal qualifications who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, the right values and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. We are looking for people who are hands on, able to build trusting relationships with young people and have a fun, engaging approach.
