We all need a bit of support sometimes and in this role, you’ll be the person someone turns to when they’re ready to take their next step forward. As a Support Worker, you’ll join a kind and committed team, working with adults who are rebuilding their lives. Whether someone’s just arrived or getting ready to move on, you’ll walk alongside them offering encouragement, practical help, and a steady presence they can count on.
What the job involves:
- Getting to know people, understanding what matters to them, and tailoring support to their needs
- Helping with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning and shopping and encouraging independence wherever possible
- Supporting health and wellbeing, including attending appointments and managing medication
- Taking part in group work, key work sessions, and life skills activities
- Being part of a rota that covers daytime, evenings, weekends and some overnight shifts
What you’ll need to bring:
- SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or a willingness to work towards it
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Basic IT skills things like updating records and sending emails
