Job Description
As a Relief Night Care Worker with CrossReach, you will provide calm, reassuring and compassionate care to older people during the night. Your presence will help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable and supported through the quieter hours, responding to needs with dignity and respect.
What your role will involve
* Providing personal and intimate care with dignity during night shifts
* Responding to night-time needs, reassurance and call bells
* Supporting comfort, safety and emotional wellbeing overnight
* Monitoring residents and reporting any concerns appropriately
* Maintaining a calm, safe and secure environment
* Completing night-time records and handovers in line with policies and SSSC standards
* Working collaboratively with colleagues and on-call managers
About you
You are caring, patient and reliable, with a calm approach and the ability to reassure others. You are comfortable working overnight and adapting to different routines and settings. Experience in a care role, particularly night work, is welcome but not essential as full induction and training will be provided. You will be willing to register with the SSSC, join the PVG Scheme and work in line with the Christian ethos and values of CrossReach.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
