Job Description
The Walter & Joan Gray provides residential care and support for older people. We are looking for Relief Care Workers to provide flexible, reliable support, helping to maintain consistency, reassurance and high standards of care for residents.
Relief work is essential in ensuring continuity of care during periods of increased demand, and this role is well suited to someone who can step in confidently, adapt quickly and provide compassionate, person-centred support.
What you will do
* Provide high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans
* Support with personal care, mobility, medication and daily routines
* Promote dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times
* Offer reassurance and emotional support, particularly during busy periods
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain safe, consistent care
* Accurately record information and report any changes in residents’ needs
About you
You will be compassionate, dependable and comfortable supporting older people in a residential care setting. You may already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards it, and you will understand the importance of flexibility, consistency and teamwork when providing relief cover. Previous care experience is welcomed, but the right values and approach are essential.
