Job Overview
As a Housekeeper in our service, you will help maintain a clean and comfortable environment that supports the wellbeing of the people who live here. Working alongside colleagues, you will help ensure the service remains safe, organised and welcoming each day.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and shared areas
- Supporting laundry duties including bedding, towels and clothing
- Maintaining cleaning schedules and routines
- Following infection prevention and control guidance
- Using cleaning materials and equipment safely
- Reporting maintenance issues where identified
- Keeping storage areas organised and stocked
- Supporting a tidy and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to work independently while maintaining consistent cleaning standards
- Understanding the importance of cleanliness within a care environment and taking pride in your work
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is welcome but not essential, as training will be provided
- Basic IT skills required for mandatory training
- Member of the PVG Scheme or willing to join
- Respect for all aspects of Christian worship, as the organisation is a Christian organisation
- Adherence to the SSSC Code of practice
- Entitlement to work in the UK, as verified by UK Visas and Immigration
