As a Cook with CrossReach, you’ll prepare and serve delicious, home-style meals that bring comfort and joy to older people. You’ll help create a warm, welcoming environment where food is a source of both nourishment and connection.
What Your Day Could Involve:
- Planning varied, nutritious menus in consultation with the Unit Manager
- Preparing meals, snacks and home baking using fresh ingredients
- Catering for individual dietary needs and personal preferences
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Supporting special occasions and seasonal events with thoughtful catering
- Encouraging service user involvement in meal preparation where appropriate
About You:
You love preparing food that makes people feel cared for. You’re creative, organised and attentive to detail. You have previous catering experience, an Elementary Food Handling Certificate (or are willing to gain one), and a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. You also have basic computer skills and PVG Scheme membership.
