Overview As a Night Care Worker, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to address the needs of service users, performing domestic tasks during the night and providing wakeful night duty cover for the unit. This role follows a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern.Responsibilities Coordinate with relevant health professionals as needed.Promote activity in line with individual care plans.Maintain a high standard of the service users\' physical environment.Handle emergency calls, answer the door and telephone, and greet visitors professionally.Read and write reports according to CrossReach\'s policies and SSSC codes of conduct.Participate in staff and service user meetings as required.Work on a rota basis that includes weekends and adhere to health and safety requirements, including risk assessments.Undertake any necessary training to fulfil the role and comply with CrossReach\'s financial procedures.Respect for Christian worship and facilitating service users\' participation in Christian worship or their worship of choice.Qualifications and requirements SVQ 2 in Social Service and Healthcare or an equivalent qualification, or be prepared to achieve this within a specified timeframe.Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and the internet.Membership of the PVG Scheme; be registered with SSSC and meet standards for registration.This post requires you to be a Christian and uphold our Christian Ethos (occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010).Right to work in the UK (employer checks entitlement to work in the UK for all prospective employees).Benefits Exclusive retail and leisure discounts through rewards scheme and Blue Light Discount card.Contributory pension plan and death in service benefit.Enhanced family-friendly policies and health cash plan.Care concierge service for personal life challenges.Professional development support including contributions to membership fees.About CrossReach CrossReach has been at the forefront of high quality social care for over 150 years, providing loving care to people of all ages and supporting them to live life to the full regardless of circumstances.
