As a Senior Care Worker working nights, you will hold responsibility for the effective leadership and oversight of the service during overnight hours. You will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care while providing clear direction and support to the night staff team, maintaining standards when senior management are not present.

What your role will involve:

  • Leading and supervising the night staff team
  • Allocating and overseeing night-time duties and responsibilities
  • Acting as the senior decision-maker on shift
  • Managing medication administration, ordering and auditing
  • Responding appropriately to incidents, emergencies and changes in need
  • Ensuring care plans, records and handovers are completed accurately
  • Maintaining the safety, security and wellbeing of the service overnight
  • Providing management cover in the absence of the Service Manager or Deputy
  • Monitoring practice against quality and regulatory standards

About you:

You will be an experienced care professional holding an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with the ability to lead confidently during night shifts. You will be organised, accountable and calm under pressure, with a strong understanding of governance, medication management and person-centred care. You will have basic IT skills, be registered with the SSSC, and be a member of the PVG Scheme. You will also have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold the Christian ethos of CrossReach, which is an Occupational Requirement for this role.
