As a Service Manager at our Balmedie care home, you will play a key role in leading a high-quality care environment where people are supported to live safely, comfortably and with dignity every day. At CrossReach, we have been supporting older people across Scotland for over 150 years. This role offers the opportunity to lead a well-established service while shaping future provision to meet the needs of your local community.
What your day could look like:
- Leading, managing and developing your team to deliver high standards of care and support
- Overseeing recruitment, supervision, performance management and workforce planning
- Managing budgets, resources and staffing levels effectively
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and best practice
- Promoting a positive culture that reflects CrossReach values
- Building strong relationships with families, professionals and external partners
- Working with senior leaders to support service development and continuous improvement
About you:
You will be an experienced and values-led leader with a strong understanding of social care and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. You will hold an SVQ Level 4 in Social Care and a management qualification or be working towards one in line with SSSC requirements. You will have experience leading teams within a social care setting, alongside a strong understanding of care standards, legislation and best practice.
You will be confident using digital systems and Microsoft Office, and able to manage budgets, staffing and operational priorities effectively. You will bring a supportive leadership style, with the ability to motivate, develop and retain staff. You must be registered with the SSSC, or willing to register, and be a member of the PVG Scheme or willing to join.
