Do you want to support children and young people to feel safe, valued and included? As part of our Children and Family Services team, you will help create a nurturing environment where relationships and consistent care promote healing and growth.
What your day could look like:
- Supporting emotional, physical and social needs
- Contributing to care plans and assessments
- Encouraging positive relationships and relational health
- Supporting education, hobbies and community activities
- Assisting with household routines
- Helping young people develop life skills
- Accompanying children to appointments and visits
- Working flexibly, including sleepovers
- Working on a three week rolling roster with a mix of early shifts, late shifts and weekends
What you will bring:
- Experience working and supporting young people - ideally in care or education (desirable, but not essential)
- Reflective practice
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative working
- An understanding of trauma and attachment
- A full manual driving licence
- Willingness to register with the SSSC or work towards the necessary qualifications
- Strong transferable skills, the right values and a genuine commitment to supporting young people
