Job Description Good food plays an important part in daily life. As a Cook in our care home, you'll prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that help residents stay healthy, feel valued and enjoy mealtimes that are often the highlight of their day. Working as part of a friendly team, you'll help create menus that reflect residents' preferences while ensuring meals meet a range of dietary and nutritional requirements. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness Monitor food stocks and support ordering and stock control Support special events and celebrations through food preparation You will have experience working in a professional kitchen and be confident preparing meals for larger groups. A Food Hygiene qualification is essential and a relevant catering qualification would be advantageous. Most importantly, you'll take pride in your work and understand that good food can make a real difference to someone's day.
