As a Senior Care Worker with CrossReach, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of high-quality care while continuing to provide hands-on support to service users. Working day shifts, you will support older people to live with dignity, comfort and independence while guiding and supporting the wider staff team. This senior role combines leadership responsibility with direct care, ensuring standards are maintained and staff feel supported.

What your role will involve:

  • Leading staff on shift and allocating work
  • Acting as senior cover in the absence of the Service Manager or Deputy
  • Providing personal and practical care with dignity and respect
  • Acting as a key worker and supporting care planning and reviews
  • Managing medication processes, including audits
  • Supporting supervision, appraisal and staff development
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and supportive environment

What we are looking for:

You are an experienced, caring and reliable individual with the confidence to lead others. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and be able to work towards, or already hold, qualifications including PDA Supervision, PDA Medication, SVQ Level 4 and a workplace assessor award. You will have basic IT skills, be registered with the SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme. This role is an Occupational Requirement and requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold the Christian ethos of CrossReach.
