As a Relief Care Worker in our care home, you will support older people with their daily care and wellbeing, helping ensure they feel safe, comfortable and valued. Working flexibly to support the team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the service.
What your day will look like:
- Supporting residents with personal and intimate care
- Encouraging activity, independence and social interaction
- Supporting residents with meals, hydration and nutrition
- Providing reassurance and responding to call bells
- Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment
- Completing daily care records accurately
- Working alongside colleagues and other professionals
- Providing flexible support across shifts when required
About you:
You will bring patience, kindness and a positive approach to supporting older people. You will value teamwork and understand the importance of delivering care that respects dignity and independence. Previous care experience is helpful but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. Basic IT skills are required for recording information and completing training. You will be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.

- Must be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or willing to join and register.
- You must have the required permission to work in the UK.
