Volunteer Counsellor – Bluebell Perinatal Service

Cross Reach Counselling and Recovery team are a values‑led team committed to delivering high‑quality therapeutic support to individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges.

We aim to provide life‑changing, life‑enhancing services within a safe, compassionate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional counselling services to perinatal clients, both in‑person and online, as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in group supervision sessions.
  • Complete required case work documentation and submit case notes.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Completed a diploma in counselling or currently pursuing a counselling diploma with readiness to practice.
  • For perinatal services, a minimum of 50 clinical hours of relevant experience.
  • Completed an ACTO‑approved online training course if providing online counselling.
  • Will be named and supervised by an external qualified supervisor.
  • Must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registered with SSSC.

Requirements

  • Undergo necessary vetting checks and statutory registration as required.
  • Possess UK work eligibility in accordance with immigration regulations.
