As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic environment, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable home for residents, staff, and visitors. Working as part of a supportive team, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties, which may be rotated or adapted to meet the needs of the service.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building.
  • Support residents by providing cleaning materials and equipment, encouraging them to maintain their own personal spaces in line with their care plans.
  • Report any concerns or difficulties to the Senior Project Worker/Project Worker.
  • Assist with the supervision and guidance of others in house-cleaning duties where required.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training activities.
  • Flexible in their approach to working hours and duties.
  • Interested in supporting people with complex needs and promoting their wellbeing.
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office and the internet.
