As a Relief Support Worker in our service, you will support individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and take part in everyday life. Working flexibly to cover shifts when required, you will help maintain consistent support across the service.

What your day will look like:

  • Supporting individuals with daily living tasks and personal routines
  • Encouraging independence and supporting life skills development
  • Supporting individuals with meals, household tasks and wellbeing
  • Supporting individuals to access community activities and opportunities
  • Acting as a key worker where required
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working alongside colleagues and other professionals
  • Supporting a safe and inclusive environment

About you:

You will be reliable and compassionate, with a genuine interest in supporting individuals to live independently. You will understand the importance of respectful, person centred support. Experience in care is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided. Basic IT skills are required for completing records and training. You will be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification. You must be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or willing to join and register.
